2012 in review

Today I got this update in my email and it turns out the rabidly banana hungry but always awesome WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog!

It’s always nice to know that what you’re churning out gets read and isn’t just random gibberish flowing into the ether, never to be seen or heard – that’s the flip-side, the part we bloggers secretly fear. Even when we won’t admit it, we all dread our stats and being… unread.

So I’m happy and joyous to note that this blog has been finding good, steady readership. It gives me reason to keep writing and hope that with a little effort I might do better in the year ahead.

A HUGE thanks to everyone who’s been a reader and/or follower of the site, I humbly appreciate the support and will strive to keep on entertaining you as best I can. You’ve all been great.

Cheers and a happy new year to all.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 12,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 20 years to get that many views.
