Welcome to the new year! A beacon of hope… Really!

Well folks, once again we find ourselves at the beginning of a new year!

I dont know what it is, its something about the idea of the new year that makes us all feel so hopeful and believe that jsut because the calender has gone from dec 31st to jan 1st, things will get better.

Its like the people that go to church on sundays because saturdays now behind them and all that jazz…

Now before anyone gets the wrong idea, this post isnt meant to be a rant or anything, its just my own cynical way of pointing out something good that is actually very obvious: Tomorrow is another day!

This is something that we all have heard at some point or the other but never really take all that seriously. Ill admit, Im more than a little obsesses with history and all, but I believe that the past is simply for us to appreciate and learn from (as Im sure Ive told most of you on many occassions) but sadly most of the time people make the stupidest mistake – they dont learn from history and at the same time refuse to let go of their own past.

This is where the new year comes in! For that one night, we can all leave our worlds behind and not just hope, but truly believe that the past is past and the future is bright and worth looking forward to… after all, the Bin Ladens and George Bushs aside, I really dont think that most of us have done things that are so horribly unforgivable and as such should let our past transgressions remain a part of us, learn from them and move on…

Like Christopher Titus (one of the most underrated comedians ever!) once said, “Youve got this all backwards, here lemme turn it around. Now thats your past behind you, now get off that cross, build a bridge and GET OVER IT!”

Yeah I know its a trifle harsh, but sometimes folks need a little tough love yknow?

Anyhow, heres wishin all my fellow bloggers a joyous and wish fulfilling new year, and I hope you guys carry the new year spirit with you throughout the year!

Heres a little tid-bit to keep the spirits up in the meantime:
Memo to all employees: In order to assure the highest levels of quality work and productivity from employees, it will be our policy to keep all employees well trained through our program of SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING (S.H.I.T.) We are trying to give our employees more S.H.I.T. than anyone else. If you feel that you do not receive your share of S.H.I.T., please see your supervisor. You will be immediately placed at the top of the S.H.I.T. list, and our supervisors are especially skilled at seeing you get all the S.H.I.T. you can handle. Employees who don’t take their S. H. I.T. seriously will be placed in DEPARTMENTAL EMPLOYEE EVALUATION PROGRAMS (D.E.E.P.S.H.I.T.) Those who fail to take D.E.E.P. S.H.I.T seriously will have to go to EMPLOYEE ATTITUDE TRAINING (E.A.T.S.H.I.T.) Since our supervisors took S.H.I.T before they were promoted, they don’t have to take S.H.I.T anymore, and are all full of S.H.I.T already. If you are full of S.H.I.T, you may be interested in a job teaching others. We can add your name to our BASIC UNDERSTANDING LEADERSHIP LIST (B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T).
Thank you, BOSS IN GENERAL, SPECIAL HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING (B.I.G.S.H.I.T)

Well on that note, I shall bid thou all adieu until the next time around… when I shall return for more serious topics that can wait for now 😉

Cheers…
