>Now this is something I came across again after a long time and it amused me once again.
Some of you may be familiar with it, others wont be so for you it should be fun.
So now the Shadow Gallery presents for your visual entertainment:
The Left Brain or Right Brain Test!
Do you want to know which part/side of your brain you uses most? This test might give you some clue.
Is the dancer turning anti clockwise or clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
And what that means is:
– uses logic
– detail oriented
– facts rule
– words and language
– present and past
– math and science
– can comprehend
– order/pattern perception
– knows object name
– reality based
– forms strategies
– uses feeling
– “big picture” oriented
– imagination rules
– symbols and images
– present and future
– philosophy & religion
– can “get it” (i.e. meaning)
– spatial perception
– knows object function
– fantasy based
– presents possibilities
– risk taking
Some people will see it turning clokwise while others will see it turning anticlokwise. There is really nothing wrong with which one you’re seeing.
Stick around folks, this is just an intermediate post while I work on a story for a short fiction contest (wish me much luck! :D) and try to clear out some of the mountains of tasks around me!

>I see her turning both clockwise and anticlockwise… mmmm. Usually on these tests I turn out as right brain. They are fun, but I don’t take them too seriously.Good luck with the writing contest! 🙂
>thanx 4 the test 🙂 all the luck for ur contest look forward to reading ur submission 🙂
>@inkpothey, i guess that means youre smarter than the rest of us and see it both ways!you dont have to take em seriously, but like all things there is a small kernel of truth in there somewhere. and i usually get right brained all the time too, in fact in my case I cant make it turn both ways no matter what!@desert demonsthank and thanks! 🙂
>What part of my brain am I using if I can’t stop staring at her chest long enough to figure out if its clockwise or counterclockwise?
>I see that I use more often the right side but it is the right side or the wrong? who knows
>Well, immediately, I saw the pix, I thought: anticlockwise. But I decided to look again and thought clockwise.Do you think I use both simultaneously, uh?I’d like to reproduce this on my blog. What do you think?
>I really think this test is quite truthful. I really do.
>@malicethat would be the pre-frontal hornylobe part of the brain. ;)@DingoTo each his own buddy, whichever side you use is just fine, neither is better or worse – like everything else each has upsides and downsides, it all depends on how you look at it. Just like life. @Itsme!Well from what I understand there are a fair number of folks who can use both, but I feel that there is always a slight edge to one over the other. Since your instinctive reaction was anti-clockwise, thats your stronger (by a little) side. But some can make themselves see it both ways, I find that takes a lot of effort but for some it takes none.Feel free to put this on your blog, no problem. I think it is quite truthful too btw, it may not be THE perfect test but it does tell you a lot. Thanks for dropping by all, much appreciated. Cheers.
>Nice test..I see it turning clockwise and reading the characteristics i feel its very true indeed!..enjoyed it!Looking forward to reading your short story..All the best!
>@ nishaaTHANK! 🙂
