Movies, music and merriment!

At last! The weekend arriveth!

Its amusing to me that no matter how much time passes and how old you get, the weekend never loses that special joy, that anticipation, that feeling of relief as you approach it.

Of course just as much as that amuses me I feel bad for Monday’s (something those who’ve seen this blog longer would have heard before) simply because Monday is that day of the week which is most hated and maligned and is literally like the guy who goes “It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it!”. But that is a mental meandering for another time.

For now, I’m just looking forward to a good weekend ahead. Most of my work is cleared up, the articles for comicaddicts.com are edited and lined up and I just need to hit post, I have plans to meet a couple of friends for wine and cheese at this nice little restaurant in about an hour or so and then a peaceful evening to follow with a different set. That leads into a good nights sleep and a lazy Sunday filled with nothing special except for going to watch a movie and getting some writing done.

So anyway, before I sign off for the weekend, allow me to share some amusements with you. First up we have a lovely song that I came across by a very talented fellow blogger who has a great sounding voice, Angela Shella. If you like jazz and chilling then you’ll probably enjoy this one as much as I did:

And next up we have the latest movie trailer from the upcoming The Avengers movie which I was looking forward to since Marvels new amazingly handled movie direction, but this movie just looks better and better with each new preview!

And the character of Tony Stark under the guise of Robert Downey Jr. has become without a doubt the most standout character and performance out of the lot – with his dialogue/exchange with Loki in this preview being one of the best lines I have ever heard in any movie ever:

Loki: I have an army!

Tony: We have a Hulk.

So my friends, I bid you adieu until the new week kicks in, hope this all gave you some measure of amusement and entertainment as the weekend is all around you. As I take your leave here, I leave you with this stunning image for your visual pleasure and on the advice of medical practitioners who state that looking at something like this for 10 minutes a day is very good for your cardiovascular system.(Click it and open in full for maximum effect!)

Cheers!
