Religious people are idiots.
There, I said it.
This is not meant to be derogatory (though it is) and it’s not meant to say they are lacking in intelligence (which it also does) because if they choose to be open minded and think things through, they aren’t all idiots. Just like all non-fundies (i.e, fundamentalists) are not smart or clever – we have idiots on this side too.
(oh and if you’re sitting there saying “I’m NOT a fundie!”, think again because it is defined as: “a form of a religion that upholds belief in the strict, literal interpretation of scripture.” …so, are you willing to concede that your religion might be wrong? That another might be right? That your scripture is not absolute? And are you willing to do all this publicly in front of God and your fellow whatever-you-are? If you answered “No” to any of these, you are in fact a fundamentalist. Deal with it.)
Yet ANOTHER example of how we are all the same and random socio-cultural divisions get us nowhere fast.
But enough pontificating. The purpose of this post is to share with you a 2-part take on the story of the Tower Of Babel from a webcomic called Holy Bibble that cracked me up a LOT and I felt like sharing. So click on through and have a laugh – or at least try ya fundie! 😉
Very nice post. Enjoyed reading it…Thank u for the share.
You’re most welcome.
